Jay Jeong had been working with the Gutter-Vac Hornsby franchise for two years when its then owners presented him with the opportunity to buy the business.
‘I liked the job so much I bought the company.’ Jay says, adding ‘Meeting people and working under the sun energises me. Also having customers saying ‘thank you’ with a happy and satisfied face is the best part.’
Jay now operates his own Gutter-Vac franchise in an around North West Sydney with the help of two employees.
He was recently greeted by a customer with the only Korean words he knew. ‘The word he used actually means ‘thank you’ not ‘hello’ but it didn’t matter and it’s certainly nice to know that our customers appreciate our hard work.
