We provide a comprehensive training to all new franchisees before they begin, regardless of your prior skillset.

What our training schedule looks like

At Gutter-Vac, we pride ourselves on the support that we provide our franchisees. We are committed to your success and are always happy to help. We are never more than a phone call away.

You do not need any prior experience or skills to own and operate a successful Gutter-Vac franchise, as we will provide you with all of the relevant training you need before you begin.

We provide our franchisees with comprehensive support and training in the following:

We are always updating and developing our training course to give our franchisees the best possible knowledge and tools to be at the forefront of the industry. 

Here’s what your training involves:

 


Day 1:  SUNDAY

  • Training overview
  • Safety Course – “RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights” Statement of Attainment

 

Day 2:  MONDAY

  • On-site practical training with a Multi-Franchise Owner
  • Ground Workers Kit and Remote Drum

 

Day 3:  TUESDAY

  • On-site practical training with a Single Territory Owner with one unit (sole operator)

 

Day 4:  WEDNESDAY

  • On-site practical training with a Single Territory Owner with dual units (husband and wife team)

 

Day 5:  THURSDAY

  • On-site practical training with a Single Territory Owner with single units (husband and wife team)
  • Product and Services Overview
  • Mould and Lichen Removal
  • Pressure Cleaning and Equipment Maintenance

 

Day 6:  FRIDAY

  • Gutter-Vac Shop
  • Marketing
  • Quoting and Phone Estimates
  • Ceiling Cavity Cleaning

 

Day 7 & 8:  SATURDAY & SUNDAY

  • The weekend is yours to explore Brisbane and relax!

 

Day 9:  MONDAY

  • Sales
  • Business Planning

 

Day 10:  TUESDAY

  • ServiceM8 (CRM scheduling)
  • Machine Servicing and Nozzle Making

 

Day 11:  WEDNESDAY

  • Xero (Accounting program)
  • Portal and Administration
  • Giving Back Program
  • Summary of your completed training

 

 

AFTER TRAINING

Once your Franchise training is finished, the learning and support doesn’t stop! You’ll have access to:

  • Coaching sessions with Franchise Business Support Manager
  • Regular Energy Group Franchisee meetings
  • Our network of Gutter-Vac franchisees through a closed Facebook group (to share best practices, or get advice about anything on the job)
  • Annual Gutter-Vac National Conference
  • The National Support Office team is always just a phone call away.

Safety and Working at Heights

Gutter-Vac takes safety very seriously. We ensure all of our operators are fully safety trained to ‘Work Safely at Heights’ (RIIWHS204E) and use all of the required safety equipment at every job.

Our operators carry Public and Product Liability Insurance of $20M. They are also aware of the workplace health and safety requirements when working at schools and in other public areas.

Gutter-Vac uses Ballantyne Safety for all our safety products and training. Ballantyne Safety is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 32458) that also provides full safety training for companies who need the best in safety for their teams.
