Christmas Greetings

We want to wish all of our loyal customers a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We love owning a Gutter-Vac franchise and can say it was one of our best decisions to work with a company that has the same standards of integrity as we do. We are proud to put our names beside the Gutter-Vac logo.

We will be working right up to Christmas and are taking a break till 6th January 2020. We will still be available via phone 1300 654 253 and email at gcn@guttervac.com.au all through the holidays however.

Have a wonderful holiday and stay safe.

Fire Season

In today’s paper, we learned that more fires have broken out on the West Side of Queensland around the Logan area. We encourage everyone to have their roof gutters cleaned out regularly as the dry leaf debris in the gutters can ignite so easily in this hot and windy weather.

Give us a call on 1300 654 253 and we can book you in for any urgent job and above all – STAY SAFE!

Cleaning Your Roof Tiles And House Exteriors

We can pressure wash your roof tiles and house exteriors and have them come up like this! We also now have ENVIROCLEAN which is an environmentally friendly wash that can be applied over the course of 6 – 12 months to remove lichen, mould, and hard-to-remove material that previously required a chemical soft-wash. It is especially good for use around schools and other areas where being environmentally friendly is an absolute priority. Call us and let us show you the options to have your house, business or school looking perfect for the new year!

Pressure Washing Your Corrugated Iron Roof

In addition to pressure washing concrete surfaces (last weeks Blog), here is a photo of the difference our pressure washing machine makes on your corrugated iron roof. The high water pressure removes dirt and debris and brings it back to its original shine. If you have mould, mildew or lichen on your roof, we can also remove it using “Enviroclean” which is an environmentally friendly spray -harmless to plants, animals and humans.

Next weeks blog will show you the difference pressure cleaning makes on tile roofs. Tune in…….and see the amazing difference.

We Pressure-Wash Too!

Even though Gutter-Vac specialise in cleaning roof gutters, we also specialise in cleaning other hard surfaces like roofs, house exteriors and eaves, outdoor concrete furniture, pathways and pavers. We have a “u-beaut” pressure washer that can bring any surface back to it’s original clean look. So if you want to impress the neighbours (and the wife), give us a call and we will make your house and driveways look like a million dollars.

Job With A View

We love our job cleaning roof gutters!.

This is a photo from a job we did at Tweed Heads looking out onto the water. There were a number of trees surrounding the property and the leaves had fallen into the roof gutters so the debris had to be removed to avoid rainwater leaking into the ceiling.

We use a vacuum cleaning system that sucks all of the mud, leaf and plant matter from the gutters and transfers it into our drums so that no debris is left onsite.

What a difference a day makes! And what a beautiful day it was with a view like this. Call us on 1300 654 253 and have your gutters cleaned by Gutter-Vac. “Clean….Safe….Easy”

We’ve Got Your Gutter Cleaning “Covered”

Meet James, representing the underwriting company Insurance Made Easy. Every Gutter-Vac franchise has liability insurance. You can be assured that when we are doing a job for you, we are fully covered in the event of damage or injury.

In addition to this, we are also trained and certified in “Working Safely At Heights”. They even trained the office lady (me!) and I will never get on a roof! But at Gutter-Vac, safety is a priority.

That’s why when you employ us to take care of a job for you, we’ve got your gutter cleaning covered!

Have Your Solar Panels Cleaned At The Same Time As Your Roof Gutters

We had an interesting experience cleaning solar panels recently. The home owner had checked the output of the solar panels prior to our cleaning them. When the client re-measured the output after our solar panel clean, it had DOUBLED!

Solar panels need to be cleaned as a result of pollen and wind-blown dust in the air settling on them (and sometimes bird and bat droppings) and it is recommended that this should be done every 6 mths:

“We recommend that panels be cleaned and inspected at a minimum once every six months. Cleaning at regular intervals prevents buildup of residue and keeps your panels operating optimally at all times.” Solar Choice Nov 24, 2016

If you have solar panels on your roof, we have all the brushes and equipment required to give them a thorough clean so you will always get optimum results from your panels.

Ask us to check your solar panels while we are cleaning your roof gutters. A small outlay to clean your panels can result in a huge price reduction in your power bill!

Gutter Cleaning Over the Winter Months

The Australian winter months always amaze me as you never know quite what the weather is going to do each day. Today it’s raining but tomorrow, it could be another beautiful day in paradise!

What stays the same though, is the amount of debris that falls from the local trees into the roof gutters and then in true Aussie style, grows with abandon from there! I have seen some beautiful “gardens” sprouting from the gutters of the houses we have cleaned. Of course, the larger this “garden” grows, the more any rainwater is blocked from its natural runoff. The water backs up and then seeps through the ceiling, often causing damage.

Make sure your roof gutters are clean and clear this winter season. Our vacuum cleaning system will remove all those “roof gardens” for you. The debris will be vacuumed into our drums which we remove from site, leaving the area around your home in top condition.

Gutter and Rainwater Tank Cleaning

This week, we cleaned one of many rainwater tanks. The owners were horrified to see the state of the water as it flowed out prior to cleaning. Sometimes we forget that the quality of the water is affected by the state of not only the roof gutters that the rain flows from but the tank itself. Once you have the debris removed from the gutters and the tank cleaned, you can be assured that the quality of the water is perfect.

The Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (published by the Federal Health Dept) recommend that along with regular maintenance, you should desludge your rainwater tank about every 2-3 years. We live on acreage ourselves and have 2 concrete water tanks that we clean regularly so that we can be assured that our drinking water is the best it can be.

If you want your roof gutters and water tanks cleaned, call us on 1300 654 253.
